Carlie Ray Roach, Jr., 46, of Du Quoin, passed away at 12:34 P.M., Sunday, April 3, 2005 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Carlie was a truck driver for Gilster-Mary Lee.  He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Du Quoin.
He was born July 22, 1958 at Du Quoin, the son of Carlie Ray and Beverly (Morgan) Roach, Sr.
He married Robyn J. Uhles on May 2, 1997 at the Perry County Courthouse in Pinckneyville, IL and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, his father - Carlie Ray Roach, Sr. of Pinckneyville, five children - Vanessa Roach of Du Quoin, Quinton Roach of Du Quoin, Amy Hill and husband Adam of Du Quoin, Nicki Asbury and husband Aaron of Du Quoin, and Erin Galloway of Royalton, seven brothers and sisters - David Roach and wife Lisa of Du Quoin, Chuckie Ritter of Du Quoin, Cathy Morgan of Du Quoin, Holly Ritter of Du Quoin, Bobby Walters of Tamaroa, Paula Walters of Du Quoin and Robin Hastings and husband Gary of Sunfield, five grandchildren - Alyssa Ellison, Hunter Hill, Autumn Asbury, Kirstin Asbury, and Tyler Asbury, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother - Beverly Morgan, stepmother - Mary "Punkin" Roach, and Grandma - Ruby Goodrich.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 7, 2005 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Bud Worth officiating.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M., Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the Diabetes Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
